Azimuthal systems have simplicity and low cost, while their capabilities are quite sufficient for comfortable visual observations. On the other hand, auto-tracking in such telescopes is much more difficult to implement than in models with an equatorial mount, this necessarily requires complex electronics with an auto-tracking system; this should be taken into account by those who wish to use a telescope with an alt-azimuth mount for astrophotography.
