Full-format motherboard for gamers from the Asus TUF series with built-in Wi-Fi receiver and integrated Asus Aura Sync lighting control system. Unlike most motherboards of the TUF series, which belong to the middle class, this model is based on the top-end Z690 system logic and is designed for use in serious configurations with high computing potential. For impeccable stability in normal mode and overclocking, the board is equipped with a reinforced 15-phase processor power subsystem, the power elements of which are cooled by additional radiators.
A scrupulous approach to circuitry and an emphasis on efficient cooling rather makes it related to the elite motherboards from the Asus ROG Strix line. Aimed at demanding gamers, overclocking enthusiasts and dedicated professionals who plan to build a high-performance system with a near-top 12th or 13th generation Intel Core processor, large amounts of RAM and several reactive M.2 SSDs.
Thanks to the PCI-E Gen4 x16 connector reinforced with metal fiber, the board is perfect for installing massive video cards with multi-slot large-sized cooling systems. The presence of a 2.5-gigabit LAN controller from Intel with built-in Wi-Fi 6 wireless module allows the device to easily handle heavy network traffic. Plus, this model is equipped with a TPM connector for connecting encryption keys, a COM port and additional connectors for installing RGB and ARGB tapes.
Modern mother under 1700 socket. Almost everything you need is present, but without frills (like a post indicator, a power button or a q-connector). Overpriced
Damp bios. The currently available firmware (0807) did not fix the problem with memory overclocking via the XMP profile (AI Overclock Tuner XMP-I or XMP-II). The fact is that in these modes, the mother sets the FSB above 100 MHz, which most often leads to memory instability with frequencies above 3600 MHz. However, this problem can be easily bypassed if you set Overclock Tuner to Manual (FSB will be 99.8 MHz when set to 100 in BIOS) or Auto (FSB will be exactly 100 MHz), then set all timings and memory voltage manually, in accordance with the selected XMP profile ( if you don't know how to do it, set Overclock Tuner to XMP-II, open DRAM Timing Control and write down all values other than Auto, then set Overclock Tuner to Manual or Auto and open DRAM Timing Control again, change values from Auto to saved Last but not least, don't forget to change the DRAM Voltages by checking the XMP profile). Given the catastrophic shortage of DDR5 and inadequate prices for it, it is quite possible to take it as a transitional option (provided that you already have DDR4 from the previous assembly) with an eye to upgrading in half a year or a year, when prices and DDR5 timings will decrease. |
