Round smartwatches

Round

— this shape is most popular in traditional smartwatches (see "Type"); in other types of wearable gadgets, it is less common than rectangular, and among fitness trackers, only a few models are made round.

One of the features of the round shape is that it allows you to give the smart gadget the maximum resemblance to a traditional watch. In particular, mechanical hands (see "Features") are found exclusively in models with a similar case shape. On the other hand, with the same overall dimensions, the usable area of a round device is somewhat smaller than that of a rectangular one; and for children's watches, rectangular outlines are considered more ergonomic (see the relevant paragraph for more details).
