Nylon
— a polymeric material colloquially referred to as plastic (although this is not entirely true, plastic is still a separate option, which is also occasionally found in cook sets). Food nylon is completely safe, does not emit harmful substances and is light in weight. Also, softness can be attributed to the advantages of this material, thanks to which nylon devices can be safely used even with the most sensitive non-stick coatings. On the other hand, such tools are less durable than metal ones, they wear out with use, and strong heat (for example, if you accidentally leave the device on a pot or pan on the stove) can melt the nylon.
