Corsair RM power supplies are designed for experienced gamers, overclocking enthusiasts, and specialized professionals who need a powerful and quiet workstation power supply. They show excellent efficiency corresponding to the 80+ Gold level (efficiency not lower than 90% at 50% of the rated load) and can deliver 100% of the power via the +12V line. High efficiency class and fully digital control provide better voltage regulation and reduced ripple noise.

The modern resonant topology of LLC converters allows them to demonstrate extremely high power supply efficiency both when operating with extremely high loads and when solving simple casual problems. Increased reliability is also facilitated by the use of Japanese-made capacitors, designed for long service life at high temperatures (up to 105 °C). It is important to mention the possibility of using the 12V line in multipolar or unipolar power bus mode. They also declare the high reliability of the entire system, which is backed by a 10-year warranty.

In total, the Corsair RM series released several power supplies with power ranging from 750 to 1000 W. All of them belong to the modular class (note: when unnecessary wires can be unfastened) and boast the presence of all the necessary safety precautions, including protection against overload and power surges. As for cooling, the Corsair RM models have a fluid-dynamic bearing fan, while the RMe PSU has a quieter sleeve-bearing fan with a shorter service life. When the load drops below 40%, the cooling system switches to a completely silent operation mode due to passive cooling of key elements.
