The Fortis series from SilentiumPC is dominated by fairly large tower coolers designed to cool Intel and AMD processors with 6, 8, 10 and 14 cores from the Mainstream and Performance classes. These devices combine high quality, efficient heat dissipation and low noise levels. They are usually equipped with a classic radiator, additional heat pipes and one fan located on the side of the radiator.

To minimize noise, SilentiumPC engineers set a wide range of fan speeds from 250 to 1500 rpm. Unlike most competitors whose products start at 500-800 rpm and produce more noise, Fortis offers quieter operation. Although the manufacturer does not provide exact noise level data, user feedback and reviews indicate that the noise level does not exceed 30 dB under heavy load.

The Fortis lineup is updated infrequently, but the latest one at the moment (spring 2024) is the fifth generation, which includes three models: the basic Fortis 5, Fortis 5 Dual Fan with dual fans and Fortis 5 ARGB with addressable backlighting. Considering the average heat dissipation is around 200-220 W, a powerful processor like Ryzen 7 or Core i9 would be an ideal choice, while for high-end 9 series chips it is recommended to consider more powerful liquid cooling systems.
