Huawei Technologies is one of the largest companies in China and one of the largest manufacturers of telecommunications equipment in the world. Initially, the company was created in order to oust foreign manufacturers of network equipment from the Chinese market, but it was smartphones that brought the brand worldwide fame and popularity.
The first Huawei mobile phone hit the market in 2004. It was a push-button device with a monochrome display. In subsequent years, the company released 3G-enabled mobile phones, but real success came to Huawei in 2009-2010 with the launch of Android smartphones.
In those days, Chinese gadgets could compete only in the low-cost segment, they were often of low quality and did not meet the claimed characteristics. Huawei was actually the first company to reverse this trend. The first Huawei phones did not claim the premium segment. Rather, they were "workhorses", but they did not try to copy popular foreign models and honestly worked out their value. This policy brought wide popularity to the brand, its products began to be considered synonymous with quality.
Gradually, Huawei began to produce flagship devices. Prices for such Huawei phones were not set at low-cost prices, but they still found their audience. In 2015, the company entered the top three largest global phone manufacturers. Since 2019, the manufacturer has begun releasing smartphones with support for the 5G communication standard and developing its own Harmony OS operating system.
Currently, the manufacturer's devices have the following advantages.
