The MTE240S drives use a 4-channel controller with a DRAM buffer and 3D NAND memory chips (presumably TLC).
An ultra-thin graphene-based heatsink is used. SSD supports technologies (SMART, Advanced Garbage Collection, RAID Engine, LDPC Coding) and proprietary SSD Scope software.

Take the truth when I took it, the price for it was much less. Two weeks of continuous plotting (filled 5 TB of free space that was at home for farming just for the sake of interest) under the radiator from the motherboard on top of the native thin plate and at least henna no problems temperature 65 maximum in a good case with airflow and sharp drops in speed to zero like on some others was not, plowed like dad Carlo. Choice of economical
Transcend MTE240S is the most affordable PCI-E 4.0 SSD available. Unlike flagship models that start at 1TB, the MTE240S also has a 500GB version for those who value speed but don't need overly large capacity.

The Transcend MTE240S is based on the Silicon Motion SM2267 controller, which is an ideological continuation of the SM2262 used in the MTE220S. The same two cores of the ARM architecture and four channels of flash memory for parallelizing data writing to several 3D NAND chips at once.
More for the same money
But the PCI-E 3.0 bus has been upgraded to 4.0. This gave the MTE240S a small, but still noticeable increase in linear read speed — up to 3800 MB / s, which is about 20 percent faster than the flagship PCI-E 3.0 models (and the price remained at about the same level). The IOPS indicators have also grown nicely — up to 560K.

Linear recording takes place at speeds up to 3200 MB / s. Of course, it was not without the smart SLC caching algorithm traditional for all modern SSDs. Under load, the SM2267 controller does not heat up as much as the flagship PCI-E 4.0 SSDs, but still it cannot be called cold.
