Small-sized electric heating boiler for wall mounting. It is connected to a household single-phase electrical network, requires relatively small amounts of supply current and the use of an inexpensive cable with a cross section of 2x2.5 mm. It is positioned as a product of the basic price category from the Tenko Mini family. Able to generate useful thermal power up to 4.5 kW, which is enough to heat small residential buildings, as well as office, commercial or municipal premises up to 42 m2.
Subject to the availability of an electrical connection of the required power, it is suitable for heating a small one- or two-room apartment. The Tenko KEM 4.5/220 boiler does not have a built-in circulation pump and can be used both in circuits with natural and forced circulation of the coolant. It can also be used as an additional / backup source of heat in systems with gas / solid fuel boilers.
Due to the absence of a combustion chamber and the combustion process, it provides a high level of fire safety. The device is equipped with a two-level overheating protection system and light indicators for visual control of operation. High-quality Italian capillary thermostat IMIT allows you to smoothly adjust the temperature in the range up to 90 °C. The body, made of carbon steel, is protected by an anti-corrosion coating and powder paint.

I used to have ordinary gas heating in my half of the house, but since the cost of gas has skyrocketed, it has become clear that it must be abandoned or it will have to be paid immeasurably. Now I heat with firewood, since there is an impressive forest near our village, from where they are transported in industrial quantities. Compared to gas, the savings are about 50%. I installed and use this boiler as a backup and night option. My main boiler is solid fuel, but it has its own not very pleasant specifics - firewood burns out quickly, in about 2, maximum 3 hours, and if during the day, when I'm at home, they can be thrown up at any time, then do it on long winter nights as - not out of hand. To solve this problem, I changed the electricity meter to a two-tariff one and in the evening, having thoroughly heated the solid fuel boiler, I put this electric baby into operation. Its power is small and it will not be possible to fully heat it in winter with its help, but it is quite capable of preventing the batteries from completely cooling down until the morning. The profit is that nighttime electricity is almost 50% cheaper than daytime and such heating is not at all expensive. I also use it at positive street temperatures in spring and autumn, when it is already (or still) cold, but it’s too lazy to fully heat with firewood. Here, its three-kilowatt power is enough. It is controlled elementarily: there are two power levels and a regulator of the desired coolant temperature. It works quietly, it does not have its own circulation pump, and the switching of heaters is silent. Small in size, extremely easy to install. We have serious voltage drops and instead of 220 volts at the input, we get 180 or even less. This, in turn, directly proportionally reduces the power of the boiler. So at 180 volts, it no longer gives 3, but only 2.4 kW of heat. |
