Hmm, a really cool watch, even a whole review for the entire line ... Garmin's "pop" is determined by consumer trust, this is the same as the iPhone's pop Stylish design, it seems that Suunto and Garmin have one designer for two ... Not disappointed, but not impressed either. |
Really cool gadgets don't come cheap. I was convinced of this once again when choosing a new smartwatch for myself. Chinese clones of branded models disappeared immediately. If the Chinese somehow learned how to make fitness trackers, then you should not trust their watches. Garmins were a good option, but they also "got drunk" in many ways. But the real Finnish guys from Suunto made me very happy with their Spartan Ultra model. An expensive device, that's for sure, but I'm satisfied with it at 9 out of 10, which is a very high rating on my scale. Firstly, this device is truly multifunctional. But for really correct work, it is very desirable to purchase a chest cardio sensor. Yes, many manufacturers build a heart rate monitor directly into the watch itself, but this is not at all the same thing. Trust me, I've tried both. With a chest sensor, you can evaluate the intensity of the load in more than 20 types of activities. And this list continues to expand, because in four months I have already updated the watch firmware twice. This, by the way, is one of the important differences between serious branded models and Chinese crafts. Brands with a name continue to improve their products for years. Another important plus is support for winter sports, I am looking forward to the ski season and will be happy to go skiing as soon as possible. The next important difference of this particular model is the exact navigation module. It works not only with GPS satellites, but also understands GLONASS signals. As a result, the time required for positioning is reduced and the accuracy of tracks and speed determination is increased. I chose the black version. The case is durable metal, it is equipped with a comfortable rubber strap that provides a secure fit. The screen is large enough, touch, with a resolution of 320 not 300 pixels. It is securely covered with a heavy-duty sapphire crystal. Charging is simple, with a magnetic mount, lasts about an hour. Autonomy is average - in normal mode it is about 3-3.5 days, but the active use of GPS / GLONASS reduces this to There is a pedometer, but the only thing that the watch does with its information is stupidly sum up and show the number of steps per unit of time. No more processing and analysis. The compass has to be calibrated suspiciously often. However, it takes no more than a minute, so for now I just do not pay attention. |
