It took almost 2 years for Samsung to “roll out” to the masses a worthy replacement for the Gear S3 smartwatch from a kind of classic. The new generation of "smart" watches is already included in the Galaxy line and is simply called Watch.

Taste and colour

The wearable gadget comes in a recognizable form factor with a round dial framed by a navigation bezel. On the shelves of stores, watches are presented in two different sizes: 42 mm (mainly for sophisticated women's wrists) and 46 mm, respectively. Each of them, in turn, is divided into two more versions — with and without LTE support. In our area, all the delights of the first option will not yet be possible to use due to the lack of the possibility of linking a phone number to an electronic SIM card on board the watch.

A major modification of the Samsung Galaxy Watch is equipped with a 1.3-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 360x360 pixels. Gorilla Glass DX + is installed on top of the display. From all kinds of external influences, the smartwatch is protected by a strong case that can withstand diving to a depth of up to 50 m, is not afraid of falls and bumps. The model is rated dust and water protection IP68, in addition, it is certified according to the military standard MIL-STD-810G.

Range of tasks

An interesting feature of the watch is the imitation of the “ticking” of the second hand, as it is implemented in classic chronographs. This is the simplest of the functions performed by a wearable gadget. The scope of its main duties is to show the time and display notification icons from related applications, measure the parameters of the user's physical activity and track his movements according to the coordinates of GPS satellites.

Wide coverage

The number of automatically recognized types of activity in the new generation of watches has increased to 39, and the device has also learned to determine stress and give advice on rest (for example, with a rapid heartbeat, the watch will recommend relaxing). The model is also interesting because through it you can make contactless payments using the Samsung Pay service.
