It is positioned as a product of the upper price category, aimed at demanding users. It is distinguished by the use of a digital control system and the ability to fine-tune the parameters of the cooking process. It has an elegant and discreet exterior design with a clear touch panel.

The software of this model has 13 recipes for preparing various drinks. The Philips Saeco PicoBaristo Deluxe SM 5573 coffee maker is capable of preparing espresso (including double), espresso macchiato, espresso lungo, ristretto, americano, crema coffee, cappuccino, latte, latte macchiato and melange. In addition, it is able to supply persistent milk foam and hot water for brewing tea.

Four separate user profiles are supported, in the memory of which individual settings can be made (type of drink, its strength, volume, temperature and grinding degree). Built-in coffee grinder with ceramic burrs and a guaranteed resource of 20,000 cups, provides 12 degrees of grinding. The preparation of all coffee and milk drinks is fully automated, and the Quick Milk Clean function cleans the milk path with hot water. The coffee maker is compatible with cups and glasses up to 163 mm high.
