Design
The PC-TA 1193 toaster is part of the vintage Profi Cook line and is available in two colours: classic grey and bright red, which will definitely stand out in the kitchen. At first glance, the device immediately brings to mind cafes and eateries in old American films, because it is made exactly in the style of those times: a “pot-bellied” body, a round convex control lever, a window displaying the degree of roasting in the form of a speedometer.
By the way, the case here is metal with chrome inserts, so it is strong and durable. But during operation (especially for a long time), the metal heats up very much, as a result of which you can get burned.
Power
In addition to design, the model has quite good characteristics. The maximum power is 815 W, which is enough for fast and high-quality toasting of bread: toasts are crispy, with a uniform golden crust. The device has two fairly wide compartments (40 mm), which can accommodate even thick slices, and 6 degrees of toasting for different tastes and types of bread. Auto-centering is provided so that the heating of the pieces occurs evenly, the "Stop" button to stop work prematurely, as well as the heating and defrosting function if you store bakery products in the refrigerator. The control buttons are illuminated when turned on.
The set also comes with a warming grate, which is suitable for several toasts, rolls or croissants at once. It is removable, so if not needed, it will have to be stored separately. For added convenience, the toaster features an easy-to-clean crumb tray, under-base cord wraps and rubberized feet for stability.
In addition to this toaster, the Profi Cook range includes several other kitchen appliances that will help turn an ordinary kitchen into a vintage one: for example, the Profi Cook PC-WKS 1192 electric kettle and the Profi Cook PC-UM 1195 stationary blender in the same grey and red colours.
