Last summer, in order to reduce the cost of heating my house, I replaced the gas boiler with a solid fuel one. The forest is literally five hundred meters away and the problem of harvesting firewood does not exist in principle. But in the summer it makes no sense to heat a powerful solid fuel only for hot water. Installing an electric boiler is futile due to the constantly rising cost of electricity, so I had to buy a gas water heater. Hotlex is a typical pseudo-European brand with assembly lines in China, but this doesn't bother me personally. Its consumer characteristics are much more important. High hot water performance. As much as possible, it is able to heat about 13-14 liters per minute, which is really a lot. I specially took such a model, because I like to take a bath. Such fast heating provides a high-quality copper heat exchanger with an increased heat transfer area. Works without electricity. For ignition, only one 1.5-volt AA battery is needed. Works well with low pressure and water pressure. Maintains performance at low gas pressure. There are all necessary protections for pressure and temperature. Very nice price. It is difficult to precisely regulate the gas supply and the point is in the regulator itself - even a slight turn of the regulator knob greatly changes the gas supply and, consequently, the water temperature. At the maximum supply of water decently buzzes. It seems to be not critical, but still somehow not calm from this. |
The old geyser "ordered to live long" and in exchange for it I bought this gas protochnik. Unlike most imported instantaneous boilers, it is completely independent of the supply of electricity. In the town where I live, electrical problems are not uncommon. The buildings are one-story, overhead power lines and strong winds, sleet or icing often leave entire streets and even districts without electricity. I even bought a boiler for heating, I specifically chose a model without electronics, so as not to sit in the cold when the light turned off. And this flowing boiler works great on a single battery. Actually, it is only needed for ignition. In terms of the amount of warm water dispensed, it easily surpassed the previous heater. Still, the thermal power of 27 kW is significantly a lot and the pressure is very decent. Energy independence. There is a simple flame ignition circuit and one battery to power it. Everything else works on simple mechanics. Economical. Purely in terms of amounts in gas bills, in comparison with the previous column (it was domestic, produced twenty-one years ago), gas consumption is less. Can work even with low cold water pressure. The water, however, is quite hot. Works with fluctuations (with a decrease) in gas pressure. Most imported gas flowers are often turned off due to protection tripping. There are no temperature indicators, just try by hand. At this point, boilers with electronics are much more convenient. It makes a little noise at high water pressure, and the noise does not seem to be due to the burner, but somewhere in the heat exchanger. |
