The DCS-2121 is a versatile and unique solution for small office and home use. Unlike standard webcams, the DCS-2121 is a complete system with an embedded processor and web server that delivers high quality video for security and surveillance. You can remotely access the DCS-2121 and control the camera from any computer or laptop over a local area network or the Internet via a Web browser. Simple installation and an intuitive web interface provide easy integration with Ethernet/Fast Ethernet or 802.11g wireless networks. The DCS-2121 also features remote control and motion detection for a comprehensive and effective home security solution.
802.11G wireless connection
The DCS-2121 can connect to an 802.11g wireless network and an Ethernet/Fast Ethernet network, making the DCS-2121 easy to integrate with an existing network. The DCS-2121 works with conventional networks at 10Mbps (Ethernet) or 100Mbps (Fast Ethernet), 802.11g wireless routers or access points. Through the Web interface, you can monitor and connect to nearby wireless networks.
Frame capture, recording and storage
Using the frame capture and recording functions, you can save still images and record video and audio from a Web browser directly to a local hard disk without installing special software, making it convenient for the camera to capture frames at any time from a remote location. The DCS-2121 allows you to record video directly to a local network storage without using a dedicated computer to store video files.
