Double-circuit gas boiler of medium power with a turbocharged combustion chamber, a flexible microprocessor control system (OpenTherm protocol) and adaptation to east european electrical networks. It is a medium model from the 2014 Logamax U072 line. It is distinguished by affordable cost, relatively small overall dimensions of the case and practical control with a clear LCD screen.
It is positioned as a product of the middle price category, intended for organizing heating and hot water supply systems in private houses, apartments, office and household premises of an impressive area (up to 192 m2). Due to the design of the closed combustion chamber and forced smoke exhaust system, the Buderus Logamax U072-24K boiler can be installed directly in residential areas, and the installation of its chimney system will be much cheaper than models with an open combustion chamber.
Equipped with two separate heat exchangers (heating circuit heat exchanger — copper, plate heat exchanger of the DHW circuit — made of high-quality stainless steel). In the warm season, the boiler can operate in summer mode with the heating circuit turned off. It is a compact rectangular model suitable for wall mounting in any limited space.
Hot water for everything
The heater is equipped with a modulated fan with auto-adjustment of rotational speed, an atmospheric stainless steel gas burner with premixing, a flow sensor, a 3-stage circulation pump, a 3-way valve. The model has a high efficiency of 93.2%, providing excellent performance with reduced gas consumption. The heating circuit operates in the temperature range of 40 – 82 °C, and the heating of water for the hot water supply system is regulated in the range of 40 – 60 °C. The DHW system provides a decent flow rate of 11.4 L / min when heating cold water at 30 °C, sufficient to meet the needs of several consumers.
Quiet heating
The heating circuit of the boiler operates stably at pressures from 9 to 30 mbar, and the maximum pressure in the DHW circuit is 10 bar. A complex of safety systems ensures safe and reliable operation of the device. So, the built-in temperature sensor provides protection against freezing, and fire-resistant gas fittings, an 8-liter expansion tank and additional thermal insulation exclude overheating of the boiler. The device is resistant to voltage drops in the range of 165 – 255 V, reliably protecting the electronics from damage. The boiler operates quite quietly, with a noise level of less than 38 dBA. The bonuses of the model are the light weight of the unit, which is 34 kg, and the possibility of transferring the boiler to work with liquefied gas.
