I chose this MFP for our dean's office. The standard problems that our two methodologists encounter in their work are large volumes of printing on both sides and corresponding typical errors, as well as scanning originals of a wide variety of student documents. By purchasing this device, both problems not only disappeared, but were much simplified. Has high printing speed. The 30 pages per minute indicated in the manual is absolutely true, I checked it personally, it turned out to be about 29-30. However, for uninterrupted printing at such a speed, you need at least average quality office paper. Problems that are too thin and light happen much more often than we would like. The paper feed tray is standard, with a capacity of 250 pages, but it is better not to load more than 200 pages. The main feature of this model is double-sided printing and double-sided scanning. Printing on normal paper works flawlessly, the speed is reduced to 15 ppm, but this is understandable, the sheet actually passes the drum twice. Duplex scanning is effective only for documents on standard A4 sheets of medium density. Fortunately, this is at least half of the total mass of documents, so there is considerable benefit from this feature. We configured the device as an independent network unit and receives print jobs via an Ethernet cable connection. But when a problem happened with the router, we temporarily installed it on the computer’s USB port. Somehow it didn’t work out with printing via wifi, in the dean’s office it didn’t give in to anyone)) The photodrum in this model is not built into the cartridge and is replaced separately, it has a decent resource (at least 12,000 pages). Supplied with a 2335 low yield cartridge (1200 pages total). I highly recommend buying a full-fledged 2337, 2600 pages is already serious and for an office (in our case, the dean’s office), one refill of such a cartridge can be enough for 2-4 weeks. |
