Alveus is a trademark of the Slovenian concern Kovinoplastika, which produces sanitary equipment for catering establishments, including sinks made of steel and composite material. The Cubo 80 kitchen sink is a compact, easy-to-use granite product that costs about $200.
Design Pros
The product in the form of a hexagon is reversible, so you can “twist” it by choosing a convenient location for the bowl and wing, and then punch a hole for the mixer. It is essential that the shape of the sink allows it to be used in straight sets.
The sink is easy to match the colour of furniture and countertops, as it is available in dark, light, bright shades. You can buy a model of red, black, white, grey, sand, beige, brown, as well as graphite and ivory. The surface has no pores, so the product does not change colour over time, dirt is easily washed off with a regular sponge.
Practical design
The main bowl measuring 305x428x195 mm is convenient for washing dishes and kitchen utensils. Although it is not very wide, it is deep enough that it will easily fit a pile of dishes after a family dinner for 3 – 4 people. The automatic valve allows you to drain the water without lowering your hand into the container. There is a handle to control the valve, it is more practical to install it closer to the mixer. The overflow protects against spillage of water, if the bowl is filled to the top, and any operations are performed in it.
It is advantageous to use an additional bowl for defrosting food, excess liquid flows into a separate drain. The dimensions of the bowl 184x295x150 mm allow you to freely place 1 – 2 kg of meat, fish, vegetables. By closing the bowl with a net (not included), the place can be used for drying dishes.
On both sides of the bowls there are ribbed wings, on which you can put dishes. Their sizes are very limited, but you can dry several cups or plates. The wing on the side of the main bowl is slightly larger.
Cubo 80 is a practical and easy-to-use sink, although it cannot boast of large dimensions.
