Deciphering the labeling of Edifier computer speakers
31 July 2022
In this material, we will analyze in detail the marking features of Edifier computer speakers, so you can more accurately select the right model. After all, the most important technical characteristics of the model can be easily "read" by its name alone.
Usually, Edifier AV receivers have a fairly simple and understandable "name". The letter at the beginning of the model indicates the series/class of the device. And the numbers mean the serial number of the model in the model range of a particular series.
Consider an example:
1. R — Series/device class. Possible options:
- A — Audiophile series (Audiophile);
- e — design series (eXclusive);
- R — (Studio) studio letter does not match, as it is occupied in the next series;
- S — (Signature) author's series, designed by the company's chief designer Phil Jones;
- MP — Portable Audio (Mobile Portable);
- DA — multichannel systems.
2. 1100 is the model in the series.
